I wanted to share with you this quick conversation I had tonight with our son, Michael, who is 17 and who reads and learns through links. From the mouths of babes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGvsmpwZnSk
"It takes you places" is a perfect description of Wikipedia! I don't think my kids can remember a time before Wikipedia. They sometimes play "Wikipedia Races" with their friends (two computers required): A player names two Wikipedia topics. Players start on the first topic and race, via links on Wikipedia pages, to the second topic. The player with the fewest steps and/or fastest time wins. Apparently if you're good you can get from Jennifer Lopez to Doughnut in five links.
